Winter Tree

 

Made from Greek sheep wool (2010) then sown onto a large cushion cover. 

The tree design was inspired by Kirsten Glasbrook.

Size: 40x36 cm

 

The black&white squares represent the mineral world and the row of larger, coloured squares the micro organism of the soil. On the left are the leaves in autumn colour and on the right the 'weaving of dreams'. The pyramid above symbolised the power of growth reaching into the sky.
